For the 3rd consecutive year, Orim S.p.A., in collaboration with AIDIC (Italian Association of Chemical Engineering) is organising a competition to award a prize of € 2,500 for Master's degree theses on the subject of the Recovery of Non-Ferrous Metals from Waste, with particular focus on Vanadium, Cobalt, Nickel and Molybdenum, dedicated to the memory of Orim's Managing Director, Andrea Mancini, Alfredo's son, who died prematurely in 2017.

This award, like the others organised every year by the Association, aims to publicise and highlight the most in-depth and innovative work and studies of young graduates in the field of Industrial Engineering, particularly Chemical Engineering.

"I hope that these first meetings with AIDIC can lead over the years to a direct involvement of young people in activities with environmental purposes and to get to know our association," adds Alfredo Mancini, "I think it is very important that right from the start young people understand the usefulness, indeed the indispensability, of the recovery activities that are the basis of the Circular Economy, and I know for sure that my son Andrea agrees with me.
